Tochukaso.

Ever since I was little, I had them.

Mother and Father called them "Tochukaso"

They said they were my friends.

I always believed them, no matter what. I mean, they were my parents after all.

They were small at first, but they slowly started growing. Now, I have two Mushrooms on my back.
It kinda felt weird and itchy at first, but I guess it all turned out fine.
Whenever a bad Pokemon attacks me, I can use them to beat them.
Sometimes I can poison, but other times I can paralyze. I think I once made them sleep too. I guess they really are my friends. They were especially useful when I was old enough to live on my own and I no longer had the protection of my parents.

Though, I've been feeling weird, lately.

Sometimes, I pass out for a while and wake up somewhere else, eating more even though I'm not hungry.
I sometimes get really tired, and I tend to change my mind more as well.

This has been happening more and more lately. Is it because I am getting older?

Oh…yes…that's right…I'm almost ready to become Parasect, just like my parents.
They both had one big Mushroom.

I sometimes wonder if the Tochukaso are doing it.  Are they making me feel weird? But that can't be right.
They help me, don't they?
But still…

No. It will be all right. I'm strong!
I'm not Tochukaso! I'm Paras! And I will soon be Parasect!
No matter what happens, I'll be me.

I think the time is almost there. I just defeated another intruder. It was very strong, but with my Tochukaso I was able to win.

I'm changing. It's finally going to happen!
I will be Parasect, and all will be fine.
I will be…fine…
I…will…….fi….n…..e…

…………………………………………………………hungry. Need food. Sleep too. Nice and damp.
Fine.
" Growing out of the bug's back are mushrooms called tochukaso. The mushrooms grow with the bug host. " - Paras Firered Pokedex entry.

"It stays mostly in dark, damp places, the preference not of the bug, but of the big mushrooms on its back. " - Parasect HeartGold pokedex entry

"A mushroom grown larger than the host's body controls Parasect. It scatters poisonous spores. " -Parasect Platinum Pokedex entry.

So, yeah. I don't remember ever seeing a Creepypasta for Paras and Parasect yet, despite the fact that, you know, the poor thing slowly gets turned into a zombie by a mushroom. D: Poor thing.
The potential x5 fire weakness sure doesn't help.

I hope you enjoy(ed) the story.
(I didn't make the sprites, BTW. If it wasn't obvious enough. :P
Please give any constructive critique you can give me. Except if you're gonna be a jerk about it. Thanks.)

I like Parasect. It's my favorite mushroom pokemon. Amoonguss is my second favorite.

Nope. Only 3 if you only count full evolutions.

I really like this one. The beginning was ironic as the mushrooms started controlling. The hints that the mushrooms were starting to take over made it even more effective. :+fav:

"The bug host is drained of energy by the mushrooms on its back. They appear to do all the thinking. "- yellow dex entry
So parasect is a zombie!?

Brr. Paras/Parasect and the Porygon line have always been the two whose Pokedex entries scared the living crap out of me. Oh, and there actually are parasites who control the mind of their host (The host is usually an insect, but imagine what would happen if a parasite that fed on humans evolved that way...) in order to get access to bigger, meatier hosts.
So yeah.
GO TO SLEEP.

Oh my god, you did a pasta on one of my most favorite pokemon. You are AMAZING. *w* I loved how you wrote it from the pokemon's point of view too. Poor Paras... ;w; God, poor Parasect. <3

Wow. D: Still, though, poor Parasect... I never thought the mushroom was mean or controlled Parasect that much, but it makes total sense. D; Poor Parasect, yup. I still love it, though.

I like to think the stronger of the two personalities wins out by the time evolution hits. It it's the Paras, that's great. If it's the parasITE, well, that's great too! Clearly the "mushroom" deserved it more.

This was a cool 'pasta, btw! Very well done.

Parasect was my favourite Pokemon of the first generation (now I use its expy Breloom :XD:). I always wondered why so fe people used it (the ones I know at least).
And... ewww. The poor thing. I want to catch a Paras and train it to high level without evolving it now... it can only feel safe with an everstone :(

Btw, there is a real fungus which turns ants into zombies, doing... exactly what Parasect does. Hiding in dark, damp places to produce spores to infect more ants. (And worms which do it with snails...*shudders*)
